Two Large Chinese Cloisonne Vases. The first in a rouleau form with a elongated body rising from a short spreading foot to curving shoulders surmounted by a waisted cylindrical neck, the body decorated with peonies, birds, and butterflies between Ruyi and lappet bands against a black ground, the second in a Tianqiuping globular form rising to the high shoulders, set with a tall cylindrical neck, featuring flowers, birds, Ruyi bands, lappet bands, and auspicious symbols on a turquoise ground. {Blue vase 19 3/4 inches high (50 cm), black vase 25 1/4 inches high (64 cm)}.
