Two Female Figures, comprising Vassarettes Figural Display, the latter a Hollywood Vassarettes countertop store display, circa 1940s -1950s; and a suggestive Shafer and Vater style faience figural match holder and strike, modeled as a woman in provacative pose, seated in an oversized Art Deco style armchair, marked Made in Germany.

Vasserettes made ladies' undergarments, the company was founded in 1900 in Chicago, and became Hollywood Vassarettes in 1958. Shafer and Vater made a variety of "Naughty" and "Nudie" figures.
