Two Derby Porcelain Associated Figures of Wilkes and Conway, the Field Marshall Sir Henry Seymour Conway modelled standing, hand on cannon, over a putto holding a shield form tablet, on scroll base, unpainted, glazed. The figure of John Wilkes, M.P., modelled standing, left arm bent, elaborate cloak off of left shoulder, right hand on pedestal with Bill of Rights, and written sheets, over putto with hands on book titled "Lock on Govt", on scroll base. The latter figure with pastel hues, gold, orange, brown, and gold enamels. Both figures with patch marks. Circa 1770-1775. {Approximate dimensions: 12 1/2" H., over all.}.
Condition:l Restoration to front of puttos right foot, and to rear tip of cannon, figure of Conway. Loss to ankle and foot, putto; loss to point finger, putto right hand, Wilkes. A couple of firing cracks near Wilkes right hand, and bottom of scroll. Scattered black dots, minor surface wear and scratches.
