Twelve Louis XV Style Rattan Back Dining Chairs, comprising a pair of fauteuil, and ten side chairs, all with carved, shaped back frames, with rattan set into the backs and seats.
{Approximate dimensions with cushion: armchair 38 3/8" high x 25 1/2" wide x 25 1/2" deep, side chair 37 1/4" high x 22 1/2" wide x 23 1/2" deep.}.
Condition
Some of the rattan seats need to be replaced. Other signs of wear and use include a few small hairline cracks, slight gaps to seams, surface scratches, small chips, nicks, rubbing. Some distressing as made. Cushion upholstery in good condition overall, one cushion upholstered in different fabric from the rest. Please contact the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
