Tibetan Gilt Bronze Buddha's Head on Pedestal. Cast with a serene expression and downcast eyes, the head of the Buddha with elongated ears and clearly defined eyebrows and lips covered under gilt, surmounted by a domed usnisha of tight hair curls, mounted on a cubic pedestal. {Height not including base 6 1/4 inches (16 cm)}. Provenance: Property of Bernard Spain. Purchased in August 2022 from Helmuth Stone Gallery in Sarasota, FL. Condition: Paint exfoliation Ask the Asian Art Department for more information.
