A Large Tibetan Painted Thangka Scroll of Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara, 20th Century.

Depicting the four-armed bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara seated in meditation upon a lotus base, the principal figure centered within a richly articulated mandorla and flanked by subsidiary figures set within cloud-borne medallions, the composition further incorporating stylized trees, mountainous forms, offering vessels, and auspicious symbols arranged symmetrically across the lower register. Executed in mineral pigments on cloth and mounted within a patterned brocade surround with silk ribbons and a wooden dowel.
