Three Piece American Renaissance Revival Parlor Suite, the walnut assembled suite comprising a carved settee and two high back armchairs, all with scrolling arms, squared or rectangular seats, over scroll and wheat sheaf carved stretcher fronts, over turned H stretchers. Each upholstered with brocaded and brocatelle velour tapestry floral patterns.
Two with labels to undersides, indicating they were delivered to John Breuner Co., Oakland, with delivery dates of 1928 and 1948, to be delivered thence "for Scottish Rite Temple." Possibly made by Karpen Brothers, Los Angeles. Several sofas and chairs also delivered to the Scottish Rite Temple, Oakland, are labelled "Karpen Brothers."

Condition
Loss to one carved element that is inserted into the upper chair back rail, another loose, present. Surface wear, scratches and losses to some carved elements on the foliate elements. Please contact the Furniture and Decorations Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
