Three Piece American Renaissance Revival Parlor Suite, the walnut assembled suite comprising a carved settee and two high back armchairs, with scrolling arms, squared or rectangular seats, over scroll and wheat sheaf carved stretcher fronts, over turned H stretchers. Each upholstered with brocaded and brocatelle velour tapestry floral patterns.
One chair with label to undersides, indicating they were delivered to John Breuner Co., Oakland, with delivery dates of 1928, to be delivered thence "for Scottish Rite Temple." Possibly made by Karpen Brothers, Los Angeles. Several sofas and chairs also delivered to the Scottish Rite Temple, Oakland, are labelled "Karpen Brothers."

Condition
Signs of wear and use, including some nicks, scratches, scuffs, upholstery with wear and discoloration. Loss to three of the likely six original carved decorative finials for the sofa and chair tops, the existing three with some losses and rubbing, one detached. Please contact the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
