Three Chinese Scholar’s Stones on Hardwood Bases. Comprising three Chinese scholar’s stones of differing forms and materials, each mounted on a fitted hardwood base. One stone carved in a broad, horizontally oriented silhouette with softly undulating contours and natural striations, presenting a weathered, mountain-like profile. A second stone of dark material, vertically oriented, pierced with multiple apertures and featuring a rugged, irregular surface with pronounced voids, evoking a dramatic, eroded landscape. The third stone of pale coloration, heavily perforated with rounded cavities and an organically textured surface, displaying natural translucency and tonal variation.
