Burmese Lacquered Wood Seated Buddha. The deity seated in dhyanasana, cast in serene expression with a downcast expression framed by stupa-like ushnisha and elongated ears, the body painted in brownish orange, all atop a lotus base on a raised plinth painted in silver lacquer. {Height: 12 1/2 inches (31.8cm)}. Condition: Cracks, paint exfoliation. Ask the Asian Art Department for more information.
