Set of Twelve Regency Period Padauk Wood Dining Chairs. Carved frames with caned seats, blue silk moire seat cushions; one chair with slight variation in design to the upper back. First quarter 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 37 1/2" high x 21" wide x 21" deep.}.
Overall wear is very good considering age. Repairs and restoration, refinished. Some repairs made with mahogany wood. There is a 2" split to one chair upright, easily glued. Two caned seats with breaks and sagging. Some cane patterns are slightly different, likely later replacements. Seat cushion fabric with fading and stains.
