Russian Orthodox Enameled Oklad Painted Wood Icon. Depicting the Virgin Mother holding the Christ Child; silver plated repousse oklad with enamel decorated halos and Cyrillic inscriptions, velvet covered back. The oklad with rubbed mark "ME7(?)" to edge. {Approximate dimensions: 12 7/8" high x 9 3/4" wide x 1" deep.}. Condition: Oklad with some wear and rubbing to plated finish, bends to edge. Wear to velvet.
