Rookwood Pottery Ewer with Gorham Sterling Silver Overlay, the ewer with quatre lobed, pinched and everted lip over high waisted, ovate body, painted with ombre ochre green to red green body, and with pinecones and pine needs by Harriet Rosemary Strafer (at Rookwood 1890 - 1899). Stamped to base of cladding GORHAM MFG. CO., and scratch incised 5 and 746. 

To base underside stamp impressed entwined RP logo, under six flames for 1892, stamped 496B and W for the white body, H. R. E.

Crazing to glaze, most noticeably to area about 5 o'clock to pinecones, with a few scratch marks to the lower area there. Surface wear, scratches, patination and tarnish to cladding.
