Renaissance Revival Carved Hall Bench, chip carved crest to back, over bas relief applique of griffons with shield, en facent, the flat, straight armrests over additional female griffons, the seat with storage area, over applied scrolling foliate, floral and crown applique to front. Low relief devilish masks to either side of back, and lower center applique. To the storage area: four faux taupe suede, two faux pale green and taupe tapestry, two taupe brocade, and two green chenille pillows. Circa 1890. Two ball or bun decorations, for crest of back.
