Pit River Yurok Woven Basket. Worked in various shades of ocher and brown, with repeating geometric motifs between slender bands.
{Approximate dimensions: 4 1/4" high x 7 3/4" diameter.}.
Condition
Wear includes a roughly horizontal break to body of about 5 1/2" long, small breaks and losses to rim, including about 1/12" wide area of shallow brim loss. Some rubbing, darkening, black marks to underside, some color variations as made. Please ask the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
