Pair of Southeast Asian (likely Burmese) Carved Wooden Puppet Heads, possibly from traditional yoke thé marionette theater, each with articulated jaw and painted facial features. The heads are carved with expressive features and retain traces of original polychrome decoration, including red lacquer and detailed hair treatment. Mounted on modern stands. These figures reflect the rich tradition of Burmese puppet theater, where such heads were used in narrative performances depicting courtly, mythological, and folkloric subjects.
{Dimensions (not including base): 13 1/2 x 8 x 14 inches (largest)}.
