Pair of Samson Blanc de Chine Libation Cups in Qianlong Period Style. The white molded vessels with scalloped rims, sides with qilin, dragons, blossoming branches, etc. Each on Chinese carved teak round base. Unmarked. Circa 1890. {Approximate dimensions: slightly larger example 6" high with stand x 7 3/4" wide x 6 5/8" deep.}.
One of the pair formerly broken into multiple parts and glued back together, now visible. That example with 1/2 shallow chip to upper edge. The other example intact, with short firing crack to base, some black dots, surface wear and scratches. One cup attached to stand and one detached, with adhesive gum to top of stand.
