Provenance: Warren Kopp and Paul Hardman were interior designers who owned an antique shop and interior decorating studio in San Francisco in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1957, they bought the Talbot-Dutton House, now landmarked, where they appointed their own apartment as an homage to great French style. The apartment and contents were left to Warren Kopp's sister, Marilyn, after the respective deaths of PaulHardman, then Warren Kopp.
A 1950s photo of Mrs. Robert Folger Miller, modeling next to the Sphinxes in this lot, will be given to the successful bidder on this lot.
