Pair of Louis XV Style Carved Giltwood Fauteuils a la Reine, the Rococo style frames carved with floral clusters to back crests and seat skirts, upholstered in printed floral linen. 

{Approximate dimensions:  38 1/4" high x 25" wide x 24" deep.}.

Note: The chairs are similar in style to a Suite of Six Fauteuils and a Canape a la Reine now in the collections of the Paris Museum, inventory numbers J 415 - J 422, attributed to Jean-Baptiste Lelarge II, 1711 -1771.

Giltwood very worn in parts, light green paint available in sections, old repairs to arms, armrests, gesso visible at joints. Nicks and surface wear throughout, scratches, upholstery faded.
