Pair of Japanese Nippon Sento Ship Lanterns, brass, steel and slag glass parts. Several marks to the top of each, along with a product information plate in a mix of Japanese and English text and product numbers.
{Approximate dimensions: 17 1/4" high over all without hanging loop extended x 11" wide x 9 3/8" deep.}.
Condition
Signs of wear and use include some dents, dings, scratches, corrosion primarily to undersides, pitting, patina, residue, wear and discoloration to white fill material where glass meets metal framework. One lantern with chips and cracks to underside hole cap, loose vertical metal slat. Please contact the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
