Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Lidded Vases.
Pair of tall baluster-form porcelain vases with domed covers, decorated in underglaze blue. Each body painted with a central circular medallion depicting a mythical beast in a landscape setting. The surrounding field decorated with scattered roundels containing various motifs including yin-yang symbols and geometric designs. The neck with a key-fret band and the lower section with a panel border of stylized motifs. Covers with knop finials and repeating roundel decoration. {Approximate dimensions: height 24 inches}
