Pacific Northwest Kwakwakawakw Painted Wood Mask by Don Lelooska, carved of cedar wood, with mother of pearl inset eyes, and lacquered shell teeth, with applied tufts of horsehair to the crown and bear ears. Signed in graphite to mask interior LELEOOSKA. Not dated. 

(Chief Don Lelooska (also known as Don Smith, 1933–1996).

Condition

Very good condition, with scarifications, visible wood grain, minor scratches, as made; minor losses to hair; surface wear and scratches, surface dirt and dust. Please ask the Furniture and Decorations Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
