Oscar de la Renta Blue Ground Dinner Service in "Dinner at Eight" pattern, with Additional articles by Theodore Haviland. Stylized neoclassical design with deep blue banding and rouletted gold throughout. 

Comprising Oscar de la Renta: 10 dinner plates, 10 salad plates, 10 bread and butter plates, 12 finger bowls, 10 saucers, coffee pot with cover, cream pitcher, sugar bowl with cover, small oblong serving plate, large platter, medium platter, gravy boat, gravy boat underplate, serving bowl, 2 salt shakers, 2 pepper shakers, plus Theodore Haviland, Limoges porcelain: 9 consomme bowls and 9 consomme bowl underplates. (83 pieces total).

Marks to underside in gold: Oscar de la Renta in pseudo script, over BONE CHINA AF007 DINNER AT EIGHT over NARUMI JAPAN. The consumme bowls and underplates marked in red: Theodore Haviland over Limoges over FRANCE, and MANUFACTURED BY Theodore Haviland over Limoges, France for Weight Tyndale amerpsand Van Roden, Inc., over Philadelphia Pa.

Very good condition. The Haviland items have used so much cobalt in the blue, there is some ombre effect to the white area, turning lightly blue. One of the Haviland bowls with tiny splotch or stain to gilt area. Items appear not to have been used. Minimal surface wear and scratches.
