Napoleon III Style White Marble Figural Mantel Clock, an allegory of Time not Stopping for Love, personified by the gilt bronze figure of Chronos, stepping on the wings of an eagle, watched by the figure of Eros, standing to the side. The figures and drum shaped clock case over white marble base, inset with beaded bands flanking a band of scrolling wave and foliate design, on four squat feet. Includes pendulum.
