Mies Van der Rohe Barcelona Day Bed, for Knoll Associates with original leather upholstery. Chrome-plated stainless steel, walnut, leather upholstery. Circa 1965 - 1970.

 

Mies van der Rohe (Germany 1886 - America, 1969). First designed in 1928, the Barcelona Day Bed is an iconic piece of Van der Rohe's furniture. Knoll Associates was located at 320 Park Avenue, NYC, from 1961 - 1970. 

 

{Approximate dimensions: 18" H., 78" W. x 38" D., the frame 13" H., bolster 8 3/4" H. x 38" D.}.

Wood frame partly sun faded, surface wear, scratches and patination to the legs, upholstery with worn, faded patches, and some wear and creases, along side seams and including to bolster strap.
