Max Beckmann (German, 1884-1950), Alte Frau mit Kapothut, (Old Woman with Bonnet), drypoint on wove paper, [approximate dimensions - sight: 12" H x 7 3/4" W, sheet: 20 5/8" H x 14 1/4" W], numbered 10/50 at lower left and signed lower right in pencil. Inscriptions in pencil at low margin. At verso, inscribed '8' and '1612.'

Sheet toned with foxing, mat acid burn, crinkling/crease lines in several areas: to the left of her hand and nose and mainly across the sheet from the top of the woman's forehead to lower third part of the bonnet. Wear to edges. Top of sheet is folded over by an inch. Verso shows dirt, wear, and taped at top. Number edition is covered by the mat and signature is slightly covered by the mat. Framed: 23 1/8" H x 17 1/8" W.
