Louis XV Style Walnut Marble Top Commode, the later rouge griotte marble top fitted to the carved bombe frame, inset with two long, fitted drawers  over a boldly carved scrolling foliate skirt, terminating in scrolling cabriole legs. Drawer fronts with bold scrolling details and with gilt brass monkey and scroll handles. Drawer interiors with compartments lined with toile liner paper.

Wood with wear reflecting age and use, including hairline cracks, chips, nicks, scratches, scuffs, some rubbing at drawer pull sites, previous insect damage. Marble top in good condition overall, with small chip to back edge, minuscule nicks to edges, light surface scratches, small area of light rubbing, residue.
