Large Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Tianqiuping Vase with Dragon Motif. Of tianqiuping form with a compressed globular body rising to a tall cylindrical neck and everted mouth rim. Painted in underglaze blue on a pale ground with a sinuous dragon in motion amid stylized cloud scrolls, the scales and features rendered with layered cobalt tones. The neck decorated with bands of scrolling ornament and a Greek key border, and further inscribed with a six-character reign mark painted in underglaze blue. Additional decorative bands encircle the shoulder. {Approximate dimensions: tallest height 17 3/4 inches}
