19th Century Jose Francisco de Souza Majolica Palissy-Ware Plate. Jose Francisco de Souza (Portuguese, active 1860-1893); depicting snake and lizard amongst grass. The underside with JF de Souza Calda da Rainha mark. {Approximate dimensions: 2 1/2" high x 6 1/4" diameter.}. Provenance: Austin Hills. Bonhams November 3, 2003, lot 2533. Condition: Some loss to grass and lizard's toes. Small chips to rim.
