A Collection of Japanese Decorated Letter Paper and Envelopes, Early 20th Century. This is an extensive and rare collection of Japanese letter paper and envelopes, dating approximately to the early 20th century. The sheets are delicately decorated with understated motifs including temples, bamboo, plum blossoms, seasonal flowers, and tranquil landscapes. Of particular interest, many of the letter sheets retain their corresponding envelopes, with matching designs conceived as unified stationery sets. The restrained colors, spacious compositions, and poetic natural imagery reflect the refined taste and quiet elegance associated with the Japanese literati tradition. Together, the collection offers a remarkable record of the artistry once devoted to private correspondence in Japan.

{Letter paper varies in size, largest: Height 9 1/2 inches x Width 7 inches}. {Envelopes: Height 8 inches x Width 3 inches}.
