Printed posthumously, and with the biographical notice written by Austen's brother. Florentine paper boards and fore edges with similar decoration. Not inscribed, except for in graphite by a previous bookseller.

Wear to leather binding, more evidently so to upper edges, corners lightly dog eared, some losses to original surfaces of boards, yellowing to pages. Very slight bleeding of print to paper, appears to be original.
