Jacques Fath Couture Day Dress Ensemble. Comprising a cap sleeve dress over sweetheart neckline, boned lining, bodice with four buttons to front; flaring skirt pleated to lower back. Light netting band at waist. Slender belt sewed with rows of concentric stitches. Short sleeve modesty shrug. Lined flyaway rectangular scarf. Fabric is grey raw silk to dress and grey silk gauze, to shrug and scarf. Dress with painted and applique painted floral clusters. Jacque Fath Paris Made in France. Circa 1953 1954. {Approximate dimensions: 18" shoulders, 34" underarms, 28" waist, 42 1/2" long.}. Provenance: Sotheby's New York tag, lot 169. Condition: Very good condition.
