Irish George II Mahogany Settee, the back with twin scrolled vasiform splats above the rounded stuffed seat, flanked by scrolled arms, raised on carved cabriole legs ending in rounded pad feet. Upholstered in an off white and red foliate voided velvet. Circa 1730 - 1740. {Approximate dimensions: 41" H. x 55" W. x 22 1/2" D.}.
Condition
Shallow cracks to burl splats, the right hand scroll heavily cracked, one off and glued back on, and old repairs to arms. Surface wear throughout. Upholstery in very good condition.
