Header display and glass in front broken in 1989 earthquake. Bulb absent to top, cracked glass to front, verdigris to metal parts, surface wear, paint losses, minor wood chipping, all typical for exposure to sea air on boardwalk. Functionality not determined.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as the best seaside park in the world. The vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and friendly attitude. Dating back to 1907, the Boardwalk is the last of the great seaside amusement parks remaining in the United States and home to two National Historic Landmarks – the 1911 Looff Carousel and 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster. The entire property is also a State Historic Landmark.
