Group of Chinese Scholar's Objects, comprising a cylindrical hardwood huanghuali brushpot, a small water vessel for ink preparation (used to hold water for grinding ink), and a carved figure. The brushpot, with its smooth surface and visible grain, reflects the restrained aesthetic of the scholar's studio, while the water vessel was used in the process of preparing ink on an inkstone. The accompanying figure adds a decorative and possibly symbolic element.

{Figure: Height 6 inches}.
