George Nelson for Herman Miller Thin Edge Birch Bed, woven cane inset to headboard, attached to tubular metal frame, above the wood bed frame with rails over painted tubular metal H shape legs. To center, canvas over springs and horsehair. Silver foil label to underside, facsimile George Nelson signature in red, design, over herman two red triangles and black line, miller, zeeland, michigan. The Thin Edge Bed first introduced in 1954. This bed circa 1970.

Condition
Minor wear overall. Wood with nicks primarily to bed frame edges, some surface scratches, rubbing. Headboard with several small losses to weave, darkening. Mattress cover with a few small stains, scattered bleached looking spots, pilling along crease near border, a few loose threads. Metal parts with nicks, dirt/discoloration, scuffs, rubbing most noticeable to back of headboard.
