George III Carved Walnut Armchair. Shaped head rail carved with foliate swag, side rails with fluted carving terminating in scrolls at the head rail, the open slatted back with foliate carved heart cut-out, scrolled arms with acanthus carving, cabriole legs with scrolled acanthus carvings terminating in claw and ball feet, red floral motif upholstered seat. First half 18th century. {Approximate dimensions: 38 1/4" high x 28 3/4" wide x 23" deep.}.
Condition
Overall condition is very good considering age, with some repair and restoration. Includes refinishing and fill-in. Repairs to leg and arm.
