French Transitional Style Chinoiserie Marble Top Commode. Shaped Breccia Pernice thick marble top with moulded edge, over three graduated drawers, short legs with scrolled gilt metal feet; the piece ebonized and decorated with painted figural chinoiserie motif in low relief, gilt metal mounts. {Approximate dimensions: 36 3/4" high x 45 1/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep.}.
Condition
Surface wear and loss to finish throughout. Patina to gilt metal. Top drawer locked, lacking key. Top drawer pull loose but available.
