French Aubusson or Gobelins Mythological Tapestry, woven in wool, depicting a pastoral scene centering a standing female with a garland to her head, surrounded by shepherds in a lushly wooded landscape, woven in shades of blue, green, brown, red and ocher. Later printed cotton backing. First third, 17th Century, with later backing.
