French Aubusson Carpet. Belted oval medallion centering floral spray within red scrolled foliate ground, green and taupe brackets to corners; cotton backing. Mid 19th Century. {Approximate dimensions: 12' x 15'5".}. Provenance: Austin Hills. Bonhams, lot 2062, September 27, 2005 for $16,450. Condition: Wear throughout and some repairs, dust and dirt. Good condition relative to age.
