Framed Persian Miniature Painting, Depicting a Royal Procession, a emininet personage in caparison, on painted elephant with mahout, amidst a crowd of soldiers on horseback, and on-lookers in hills. Possibly a depiction of the rites for Shah Jahan's death. Under mat and glass in painted wood frame. Painted in polychrome inks and with gilt highlights. 

{Approximate dimensions: 14 3/4" x 11 1/24" inches, framed. 7 1/2" x 4 3/4" inches, sight.}.

One inch crease to sheet, toward lower left side, under mat, inscription parts just visible. MInor surface wear and scratches.
