Framed Persian Miniature Manuscript Pages, Ali ibn Abi Talib.  Two painted panels with inscription in margins, Ali represented as fire aura; both scenes with Ali slaying opponents on horseback, with six figures on the hill watching.  Giltwood frame with decal, the pages sealed in plastic beneath the matting.  Note with translation of text to reverse.  19th century or earlier.  {Approximate dimensions:  Panel sight 8 7/8" high x 4 1/2" wide, frame 12" high x 15" wide.}.

Request Condition Report

Has not been inspected outside of the frame.  Some darkening to paper, small tears to edges.  Some fading to matting.  Light wear to frame.
