Four Salt Glaze Pottery Articles Including Teapot. Coaster, covered vessel, wall pocket, and miniature teapot. The first with cut out patterns; the second with acorn knop; the teapot with applied sprigs of Bacchic face, grape clusters and vines, on three legs terminating with paw feet, and skeletal faces to knees, and crabstock handle and spout. The wall pocket with trellis, foliate designs, and shell molding. Staffordshire. Circa 1750-1760. {Approximate dimensions: 4 1/2" H. x 6 1/4" W. x 3 1/2" D., the teapot. The wall pocket 8 1/4" H. x 6 1/2" W. x 3" D.}.
Condition
Minor chips to edge of coaster. Firing crack to flange of vessel cover. Restoration to back of pocket. Restoration to tip of spout and flange of teapot body. Knop to cover reglued and chip to edge restored. Scattered black dots. Minor surface wear and scratches.
