Four Piece English Sterling Silver Tea and Coffee Service, by James Dixon and Co., Sheffield, Comprising teapot, coffee pot, open sugar bowl and creamer, the Etruscan style articles with curling lion head medallions as handle terminates, and beaded edges, on round feet. Walnut handles to teapot and coffee pot, the lids with pinecone knops. Each marked to the sides, touchmarks for Sheffield, Sterling lower case letter k, in shaped cartouche J.D.C S. To underside, "RD No.591581 and "A202", teapot with "MADE IN ENGLAND", plus additional very small, lightly scratched etters and numbers hand-etched. A revivalist design first made in 1830.

Surface wear and scratches, minor tarnish. Wood handles faded, worn, lightly scratched.
