Four Chinese Needlepoint Circular Rugs

20th Century

A group of four Chinese circular needlepoint rugs, each woven in vibrant shades of blue, pink, ivory, and brown. Two examples are decorated with flowering baskets surrounded by scrolling floral sprays, while the others feature stylized floral medallions composed of layered blossoms and foliate motifs. Three retain their original fringe borders. Richly colored and finely worked, the group reflects the decorative appeal of twentieth-century Chinese textile arts.

二十世纪

一组四件中国圆形绣花地毯，以蓝、粉、米白及褐色等色线织绣而成。两件中央饰花篮纹，四周环绕缠枝花卉；另两件以团花纹为主题，由层叠花瓣与卷叶纹组成，布局对称雅致。其中三件保留原流苏边饰。整体色彩鲜艳，纹饰繁密，工艺细腻，具有二十世纪中国装饰织物的典型风格。
