Four 18th Century Worcester Porcelain Blue and White Painted Sauceboats, including examples with foliate and scroll molding, fluted, lobed and scalloped, with foliate molding and rococo scroll molded; all painted with Chinoiserie scenes within reserves, but for one, with the scenes to either side. Two with Chinoiserie scenes to interiors, and two with various stylized floral and foliate designs. Largest and smallest examples with letter marks to underside. Circa 1750 - 1755. {Approximate dimensions: 2 1/2" H. x 5 3/4" W. x 3" D., the smallest. The largest 4 1/4" H. at lip x 9" W. x 4" D.}.
Good to very good condition, overall. The smallest with 3/8" firing crack to left of spout where it meets the body; next smallest with nick to spout and to body, left of handle, roughness to shell molding, right side. The second largest with glaze loss to spout and to back near handle, to handle itself, and with two or three minor firing flaws, all as fired in manufacture. The largest with several tiny dots on the very edge of lip and back near spout, staining and smudge underglaze within the well, near handle. Also, this sauceboat with 1 1/2" length of the foot rim rough, and with glaze loss. All with minor surface wear and scratches, occasional black dots; largest teapot slightly leaning to left.
