Five Victorian Capes and Capelets, four for semi mourning in shades of green, brown and purple. First green silk example sewn with applied cuffs, brocade ribbons and extensive crochet, fringe, lined in off white silk. a second green example with cut out to details and each area cut out filled with brown net, with extensive crochet and fringe, unlined. Pale lavender silk overlaid with black lace, with lace ruffles as hem. Brown velvet example embroidered with brown florals and large seeds, quilted red silk lining and black silk panels to interior fronts. Lastly, a lightweight black silk example with black netting embellished with velvet diamonds, and over fringing. Circa 1860 - 1885. {Approximate dimensions, the last: 15 1/2" shoulders, 37" L. from mid-shoulder to hem, not including fringe. 

Most articles in good to very good condition, the second green cape has visible staining. Minor surface wear and dirt, lost threads, absent beads, etc. Minor splits to silk and linings.
