K Kimpton Contemporary Art label verso. [Approximate dimensions - canvas: 22 1/4" x 30 1/8”]. Artist's Bio: Donald Bradford was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona, where he had an unusual childhood growing up around his family’s 24-hour marriage business. The family’s wedding chapel was located inside their home, just off the kitchen. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona in Tucson and later received an MFA in painting, drawing, and performance art from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduation, Donald moved to San Francisco and became the lead illustrator for a product development company specializing in beach and home textiles for the retail industry. He later became a partner in the company and helped relocate it to Berkeley, California. After retiring from the business, Donald now works full time as a painter from his home studio in Oakland, California.
