Derby Porcelain Tableware including Topographical Plates, comprising: covered jug, chocolate cup, cover and stand, heart shaped dish, trio, mug, sauce tureen and cover, all with blue banded decoration, either above a simple slender blue line and gilt serpentine or faux jeweled patterns, or above polychrome painted band of flowers. Tankard monogram ND. Also, a chocolate cup, cover and stand in pale orange with faux gilt pineapple decoration. Together with a saucer dish and two plates painted in polychrome enamels with topographical scenes of "The Derwent in the Park, Derbyshire," "Villa Adriana, Italy," and "At Dalton, Lancashire," the later with pale green borders. Puce marks to the first grouping, including patterns 69, the sauce tureen not marked. Faux pineapple caudle puce marks and 117. The first plate, pattern 230 and named in blue script. The plates with green rims in blue script, and pattern 343. The painter Jockey Hill is known to have painted a number of Derby porcelain articles in pattern 230. The other plates attributed to George Robertson. {Approximate dimensions: the jug, 9 5/8" H.; the largest of the plates 9 1/4" Diameter.}.

Condition

Condition: Most articles in good to very good condition, all with minor surface wear and scratches, some losses to enamels and gilt rubbed and lost.
