Chinese Silk Embroidered Lavender Ground Jacket and Skirt. A two-piece Chinese costume set comprising a full-sleeved silk jacket and matching skirt, woven in a lavender ground and embroidered throughout with metallic gold-wrapped threads and multicolored silk floss. Ornamentation includes floral scrolls, leaf sprays, geometric braid borders, and scalloped hem panels edged in contrasting indigo satin trim. The jacket features a standing collar, frog-button closures, and hanging silk tassel accents. The pleated skirt extends in a long rectangular wrap format with hook fastenings at the waistband. {Approximate dimensions - length of jacket: 41 inches; length of skirt: 44 inches}.
